Wind of Freedom 1821

In the 1900s, in a dingy underground printing press, an illustrated popular book is being prepared for publication: Wind of freedom. But it will never make it to press. A century later, texts and images will come to light in the ruins, allowing the book to continue on its journey. A journey that began on the eve of the 1821 revolution, its hero a merchant and member of the Society of Friends, Ioannis Philonas, an enigmatic and fiery conspirator committed to ending Ottoman tyranny in the dark years of Europe’s Holy Alliance. One of those enlightened rebels who toiled in the furnace of history so that the enslaved ragias could one day become a citizen of Greece.
