Ulysses’ Gaze

A Greek – American filmmaker (Harvey Keitel) returns to Greece after many years, in search of three undeveloped reels by the Manaki Brothers, the film pioneers of the Balkans. The desperate search for the film that contains the first imprint of a gaze on the Balkan Peninsula, also becomes a search for a gaze on the part of filmmaker, who is looking for a new way to look at the world. Now that all ideologies have collapsed and the socialist dream has been carried away by the river of History, the adventure of the gaze is the only adventure left which is worth telling…
